It’s time I introduce one of my favorite makeup brands of all time: Kosas! I’ve been a fan since 2018 when I first discovered them through a YouTube channel called Lamour et la Musique. I have 4 Kosas lipstick swatches for you below, so keep reading!
Today Kosas offers a full range of makeup and beauty products, from foundation to deodorant. But when I discovered them, they only did lipsticks. I coveted them because they were non-toxic (you know I’m all about natural health) and yet they offered a range of 6 classic, womanly shades that drew me in like a moth to a flame.
Below are the 4 shades that I own from their Weightless Lipstick range that I love.

I find that most of the shades are very red-toned, or at least they pull very red on me. You’ll see what I mean, especially with the shade Undone, which is a Kylie Jenner-worthy, 90s brown-tone nude with a lot of oomph.

The shade Darkroom was what drew me in at first. And then I discovered Stardust, and it became my everyday work staple. The formula is buttery and leaves your lips hydrated all day long. They’re not the most long-wearing, but reapplying is a pleasure because they’re so hydrating.

Out of the 4 shades, I got the most wear out of Stardust. My second most worn shade was Darkroom. That berry shade is definitely a mood, and I found myself reaching for it when I was feeling more moody, feminine and creative (probably while I was ovulating, haha).

I have a medium skin tone with golden and red undertones. These lipsticks all have red undertones, which is why they work so well on my skin tone and hair color. Reds look really good on brunettes. And my yellow/gold undertones work harmoniously with the reds and pinks.

Stardust definitely feels like a balm. And I’d say that Electra felt the most dry. Not sure if that is a fluke, or if the formula slightly differs between the shades. I love that for how hydrating they are, the colors don’t budge or feather on the lips. They stay in place and apply evenly. And did I say they are non-toxic? For $28, I think that’s a win. It’s no wonder they have exploded and become a truly popular brand.
